FlashPak offers the TANDY Color Computer 1, 2, 3, and Dragon 32/64 systems easy access to multiple pages of banked user-programmable FLASH ROM cartridge memory in a standard TANDY game pak footprint.
Features include:
- Supports all TANDY Color Computers and Dragon Data Dragon systems
- Supports up to 512kB of FLASH, EEPROM, or EPROM
- Complies with Zumwalt/RoboCop $ff40 banking mechanism
- Available as a bare PCB, do-it-yourself kit, fully assembled, and fully assembled in an enclosure
- Requires only 4 ICs for full functionality
- Utilizes through-hole parts for easy sourcing/assembly
- Configuration flexibility supports reduced parts count versions, such as:
- 28 pin 16kB standard EPROM/EEPROM version (1 IC, no write functionality)
- "RoboCop" banking capable 32kB-512kB EPROM/EEPROM version (3 ICs, no write functionality)
- Fits a standard TANDY game pak enclosure
- Open Source design, remix as desired (https://github.com/go4retro/FlashPak/)
- Full version supports programming from the CoCo with EEPROM/FLASH installed
