ROM-el brings contemporary FLASH ROM storage to vintage applications.
Bridging the gap between newer and mature ROM options/packaging, the 2364 ROM-el offers 512kbit (64kB) of Atmel FLASH ROM storage (AT49F512) in an easy to utilize MOS 2364 DIP footprint. In addition, overflow addressing lines are available on the ROM-el to enable bank switching and other targeted ROM applications.
The 2364 ROM-el forms the basis for the MOS 2364-based JiffyDOS replacement ROM overlays.
Notes
- ROM-el units cannot be programmed while in circuit. An adapter must be created to adapt the ROM-el pinout to that of a standard AT49F512 32pin IC and programmed in a standard EPROM/FLASH programmer.
