the adapter works! I replaced a ROM character generator in an original CGA card with my fonts (glyphs), putting a 27C256 on the adapter, and inserting the adapter in the CGA slot, and it works perfectly.

absolutely good quality, perhaps a precision socket would be possible. THe price is also OK and it functions perfectly also with switches.
(4 switches for an 64K Eprom.)

Would be five stars if thinner so adapted chip could fit under the RF shield in my application. However, it seems to be high quality and works fine.

This adapter is very well built with quality parts.
I use this adapter to permit newer EPROMs to function in the SYM-1 series of micro-computers as either system ROM, BASIC or Resident Assembler/Editor ROMs.
A great cost-effective way to expand the capability of the standard SYM-1 that just had the system ROM when sold.

I used this to replace the old Maurice-JiffyDOS ROMs in my old ALPs 1541 with a combination JiffyDOS/1541-II ROM set.
The boards were straightforward to assemble and worked perfectly. The only caveat is that these boards need 1/8-watt resistors for the pullups; 1/4-watt will not fit.
Thanks, Jim, for making these available.

I used to do things the hard way, modifying sockets to piggyback onto another and it was messy. These little adapter cards make life so much easier! I use them on every retro machine I own from my Commodores to my Apples. Excellent product at a nice fair price!
