The Commodore VIC-20 is often ignored for its musical capabilities, living in the shadow of its younger brother, the Commodore 64 and SID. But, that's not to say the VIC-20 can't create pleasant and even awesome audio magic! To help with that, as well as assist in the memory shortcomings of the VIC, VIC-MIDI offers not only MIDI-IN, OUT, and THRU support, but aso 512kB of VIC-programmable FLASH ROM and 128kB of RAM, both supporting the "UltiMem" expansion system. FInally, for those who care not for MIDI but are interested in RS232 communication with their VIC, we offer serial capabilities, up to 230kbps.
THe unit comes pre-loaded with Leif Bloomquist's MIDI controller application, ready to command the VIC-20 to do your MIDI bidding.
Although the unit will eventually come in three variants (MIDI-only, RS232-only, or both), the initial batch will support MIDI and RS232 out of the box.
